They actually played with some interesting stuff in that - centring the game around the 2 villains, and making the 'greater evil' psychologically believable - i.e. Oddly enough, it might of circa the WC3 expansion. WoW universe as it is doesn't support the story consistency or depth of character needed for a single player cRPG. I know it sounds like I'm tounging Blizz's balls - yeah they are massmarket, profit-driven, unoriginal shite, but they are one of the best producers of that stuff out there. Blizz has previously pulled late-production games off production because they were looking mediocre - not utter shite, but mediocre (eg the adventure game they had in the WC universe, about thrall, originally set to come out a few years before they released WC3). I don't like WoW, but that's because I don't like MMORPGs - as far as I can tell if you liked mmorpgs than WoW was awesome when it came out, just as diablo was if you like clickfest spreadsheets, just as WC1, WC2, WC3 and SC were if you like RTS (which I do). Blizz doesn't innovate - sure - but it does create a fairly consistent mainstream quality of game, and frankly doesn't release utter crap.
